What Is Yours, and What Is the Building's

Apple Valley has a large attached-housing population, and the single most common question we get here is whether a condominium or townhome owner is allowed to do this at all. The honest answer is that it depends on where your unit boundary sits, and that is written down.

Scraping texture, skimming the drywall smooth, priming and finishing changes the surface of your unit and nothing structural. That is the whole scope of this work.

A ceiling between stacked units is typically an engineered assembly, and cutting into it, altering it or adding penetrations is not a homeowner decision. If we find damaged board that needs cutting out and replacing, that is the point where the assembly question becomes real and it stops and gets answered before it proceeds.
